Privacy Policy

NextHire ("NextHire," "we," "our," or "us") provides resume building, cover letter generation, interview preparation, career coaching, PDF export, sharing, and subscription features. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the NextHire iOS app.

Information You Provide

You may enter resume details such as your name, email address, phone number, professional summary, skills, experience, education, job titles, company names, hiring manager names, job descriptions, cover letter prompts, interview questions, and career coaching messages. You choose what information to provide.

Resume Storage

Saved resume drafts are stored locally on your device using iOS app storage. NextHire does not require an OpenAI API key from you and does not store an OpenAI API key in the app.

AI Features

When you use AI features, the app sends the prompt and relevant resume or job details needed to complete your request to the NextHire backend at https://api.nexthireai.app. The backend processes the request and returns the AI-generated result to the app. Do not submit sensitive information that is not needed for your resume, cover letter, interview preparation, or career coaching request.

Subscriptions and Purchases

NextHire Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. NextHire receives subscription entitlement status from Apple so the app can determine whether Pro features are active. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Device, Diagnostic, and Usage Information

The app may receive basic technical information needed to operate app features, load subscription products, restore purchases, diagnose errors, and communicate with the backend. Apple may separately collect App Store, purchase, crash, and analytics information under Apple's own privacy policies and device settings.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide app features, generate requested resume and career content, save drafts on your device, export or share documents when you request it, manage subscription access, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, and improve reliability.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to operate NextHire, including backend hosting, AI processing, Apple subscription services, and email support. Information may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your direction when you export, copy, or share content.

Data Retention

Resume drafts saved in the app remain on your device until you edit or delete them, uninstall the app, or erase app data. AI prompts and responses may be processed by the backend for the time needed to provide and secure the service. Support emails are retained as needed to respond to your request and maintain support records.

Your Choices

You can edit or delete saved resumes in the app, choose not to use AI features, avoid entering optional information, copy or share generated content at your discretion, and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Children's Privacy

NextHire is intended for users who are old enough to prepare job applications and manage app subscriptions. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so you should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, backend, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated version will be shown in the app with a revised "Last updated" date.
